Whitecheek Surgeonfish Achilles Tang Hybrid (Acanthurus nigricans x Acanthurus achilles)
This Hybrid is a little rare. I took this picture off of Hawaiian Beaches in Puna Hawaii. There were many Achilles Tangs with it too. Hawaii 2019
After I found a Whitecheek Surgeonfish x Achilles Tang Hybrid I was on the lookout for one at Makahuena. There are lots of Achilles Tangs there and it is the only place that I had seen a Whitecheek surgeonfish. Kauai 2020
