Alpheus macellarius – ホリテッポウエビ – size 6cm
Alpheus macellarius is a type of Snapping Shrimp. They can snap their large claw and make noise and shoot pressurized bubbles which can be defensive or offensive. The Alpheus macellarius has an orange band behind the carapace and the tips of its snapping claw are orange too. They live in burrows that they excavate with Shrimpgobies that watch for danger.
