Zebra Moray – ゼブラウツボ

Zebra Moray (Gymnomuraena zebra) ゼブラウツボ – Puhi – size 150cm
The Zebra Moray is long and skinny. It eats sea urchins and doesn’t have sharp teeth. This one was moving through the coral rubble in Hawaii. Puhi is a general name for an eel. Kauai 2018

The stripes on the Zebra Moray can also be yellowish. This is the first one that I had seen in Japan. Amami 2026
