Sleek Unicornfish (Naso hexacanthus) テングハギモドキ
Sleek Unicornfish are very plain sugeonfish. The color can change from blue to greenish. They have two spines on each side, which are not pointed. I still have scars on my finger from one of them. You should be safe as long as you don’t try holding a freshly speared one by the tail though. They are also a Unicorn Surgeonfish, but they lack the unicorn.
Sleek Unicornfish like drop offs and deep water with currents where they feed on zooplankton. They are also known as Opelu Kala in Hawaii or テングハギモドキ in Japan.
