Richardson’s Damsels form schools over coral heads. They have black stripes on the tail. The stripe on the upper lob of the tail is longer, extending into the top of the peduncle. Between the upper black stripe and the dorsal fin there is a small patch of yellow. There is also a black spot at the base of the pectoral fin. Amami
