Japanese Surgeonfish (Acanthurus japonicus) ナミダクロハギ
The Japanese Surgeonfish looks much like a Goldrim Surgeonfish. The white below the eye goes to the mouth and the back of the dorsal fin has orange on the Japanese Surgeonfish. The white below the eye is a small oval blotch and there is no orange on the dorsal fin of the Goldrim Surgeonfish. They both live in the surge zone. I have only seen the Goldrim in Hawaii and they were not very common where I had been. Amami
