Anemone Porcelain Crab (Neopetrolisthes maculatus) アカボシカニダマシ – コホシカニダマシ
The Anemone Porcelain Crab is a white crab with red spots that lives under sea anemones. The ones with larger spots (pictured) are called アカボシカニダマシ. They were considered a separate species called Neopetrolisthes ohshimai. They are now considered as the same species as アカボシカニダマシ, which has small red spots. Amami 2026

I was taking a picture of the Clark’s Anemonefish, and I didn’t notice the Procelain Crab until I was editing pictures at home. The crab is in the middle eating Turbinaria. Next time I go there I will look for the crab. Amami 2026
