Round Batfish (Platax orbicularis) ナンヨウツバメウオ also Orbicular Spadefish
I saw two Round Batfish at the edge of the reef in about 10 m of water. They can reach 60 cm and these must have been not far off of that. The large adults do resemble Platax pinnatus so I am still not positive of the ID. The juveniles are very different in appearance. Amami
