Variegated Lizardfish (Synodus variegatus) ヒトスジエソ (size 40cm)
The Variegated Lizardfish looks much like the other Lizardfish and particularly like Synodus binotatus. S. binotatus has two small round dots on its snout. This lizardfish has two not so round dots and two dark blotches further back towards the eyes. The Variegated Lizardfish can have a lot of red sometimes and the young ones particularly are quite red.
