Red Velvet Star (Leiaster sp.)
I think that this Red Velvet Star is Leiaster glaber. There is a lot of variation and a similar Leiaster leachi オオアカヒトデ that also has a lot of variation. I do see Starfish that look like tis listed under both names. Kauai 2022
