Another shot of a couple of Red-spotted Siphonophores. I noticed them while I was getting out of the water. They were bouncing around in the small waves next to the shore. Amami 2025
Another shot of the Red-spotted Siphonophore tentacles. They are contracted here but they can be extended a long way when feeding. I didn’t test the sting, but I hear that it is not pleasant. Most of the stuff that stings me never gets identified, so I may have felt them. Amami 2025
