The Pryer’s Keelback likes the water and is often seen in or near water. They like to eat frogs, fish and lizards. It is found in the Ryukyu Islands. Amami 2024

Here you can see the tongue of the Pryer’s Keelback. They have been considered venomous recently. Their venom is highly toxic. Fortunately, the venom fangs are small and far back on the upper jaw. I could not find any reports of injury from this snake to people. Amami 2024
