Dusky Blenny (Atrosalarias holomelas) インドカエルウオ – Brown Coral Blenny – size 14cm
A juvenile Dusky Blenny is yellow with orange marks around the eyes. It will get darker and eventually all black as an adult. It was formerly known as Atrosalarias fuscus holomelas. Atrosalarias fuscus is found in the Indian Ocean and the Red Sea. They look alike, but apparently someone thought that they were different enough to be considered different species. Amami 2025
Another juvenile Dusky Blenny next to coral. They live in coral heads. They also look very similar to the Yellow Coral Gobies that were living in the same coral head. Amami 2025
