Pocillopora meandrina チリメンハナヤサイサンゴ is a common coral in shallow water in the surge zone. It has uniform well rounded branches. It is more common in Hawaii where there are fewer other corals. It comes in a wide variety of colors. There are several similar types of Pocillopora too. Kauai 2013

Pocillopora grandis  ヘラジカハナヤサイサンゴ was known as Pocillopora eydouxi before 2022. It is a large cauliflower coral found in deeper water. Usually at the edge of where the coral grows well. It is big and has lots of room for fish to hide. Kauai 2010
