Bluestriped Snapper (Lutjanus kasmira) Taape ヨスジフエダイ
Bluestriped Snapper or Taape were introduced to Hawaii from French Polynesia in the 1950’s. They did very well in Hawaii. There are lots of them now, but it was considered a mistake because they displaced a lot of the native species that were preferred. I have not seen many over here where they are a native species.
Bluestriped Snapper have four stripes. They may be straight or a little crooked.
