Blue Goatfish and Black-banded Sea Kraits
I had recently seen Jacks and Sea Snakes hunting together. They would swim around together and swarm coral heads with small fish. The snakes would go into the coral and chase the fish. The Jacks would eat the ones that tried to get away. This gave the snakes a better chance to get the ones that stayed in the coral.

I was snorkeling recently, and I saw a lot of sea snakes together chasing some Blue Goatfish. Amami 2025

There were also some Brassy Jacks in the area too. Amami 2025

It would have been a little more interesting if there had been better coral heads with more fish around them. In the past in Hawaii, I would often see goatfish and octopus together. I would also see Jacks following octopus and eels around. This time I did see at least four snakes following fish with more snakes in the area. I was trying to get pictures of some different fish that day, so I ignored the snakes for a while. It was the most sea snakes that I had seen at one time.
