The Trumpetfish (Aulostomus chinensis) ヘラヤガラ
The Trumpetfish also known as the Chinese Trumpetfish lives in the Indo-Pacific. There are two other species in the Atlantic Ocean. They are related to seahorses. If you look at their head, you may notice the resemblance to a seahorse. They move about slowly drifting with other schools of fish or waiting for other fish to get too close. When fish or crustaceans get too close it will suck them in. It can suck in quite large fish as its snout is expandable. Above is the yellow version of the trumpetfish which stays yellow. Amami
This is the normal version of the Trumpetfish. It is grey or brown with stripes or vertical bars. It can change its coloration as it goes along trying not to be noticed.
