Swimming Anemone (Boloceroides mcmurrichi) オヨギイソギンチャク – size 15cm
Sea Anemones are usually stationary on the bottom, but the Swimming Anemone can swim to new locations. I may have seen some on the bottom before, but this was the first one I saw swimming. I thought that it was a jellyfish at first, but it was just tentacles and a foot. They do swim a bit like a jellyfish. Amami 2026

Here you can see the foot of the Swimming Anemone. Amami 2026

The Swimming Anemone did eventually settle to the bottom. They are usually in shallow sandy areas. I am not sure if it liked this location. It could have just been taking a break. Amami 2026
