Gold Dust Day Gecko

Gold Dust Day Gecko (Phelsuma laticauda) ヒロオヒルヤモリ – size 13cm
The Gold Dust Day Gecko is native to Northern Madagascar and some nearby islands. It is also found in Hawaii where it has been introduced.
I am not sure when they were introduced in Hawaii, but it must have been from pets. I was living in Hawaii for about 30 years before I saw one. It was at my house, and I have seen a picture of one before. A few years later I was seeing them every day. They feed on nectar and insects. I mainly saw them at my house and on banana and coconut trees.
I also saw lots of them in Puna on Hawaii Island. I have not heard of any in Japan. Kauai 2020
