Eviota sp.
I am not sure what kind of Eviota this is. I did find a picture of a fish that looked just like this identified as Eviota sp. 9. I also found pictures of Eviota sp. 9 that looked different. there are many spcies of Eviota and many look similar. Amami 2025
The mystery goby was next to a mystery crustacean too. Shrimp gobies are often found with snapping shrimp. Snapping shrimp don’t have hairs on the pincers. I am thinking that this is a Serrated Lobster Shrimp (Axiopsis serratifrons) ヘンゲアナエビ – size 6cm. There is not much information on that or good pictures. They are found circumtropical. Amami 2025
