Potter’s Angelfish (Centropyge potteri) size 10cm
Potter’s Anglefish are endemic to Hawaii. They start out as females and become males later. The males are larger and darker with a dark belly. This is most likely a male. Sometimes they are solitary and sometimes there is a group of females with a male. Kauai 2013
Female Potter’s Angelfish is smaller with an orange belly. This one has a juvenile Yellow Tang and a Blackfin Chromis with it. Kauai 2018
