Blue Rock Thrush (Monticola solitarius philippensis) イソヒヨドリ
A male Blue Rock Thrush on a rock by the ocean. They are no longer considered as Thrushes. They are now considered at Chats whick are related to Flycatchers. There are also many subspecies of the Blue Rock Thrush. This is the subspecies found in Amami, some of the males in other parts of the world are all blue.

A female Blue Rock Thrush perches on driftwood by the ocean. They like perching the ocean and insects.
