Brown Sea Cucumber (Bohadschia vitiensis) チズナマコ (size 30 cm)
The Brown Sea Cucumber will often burrow in the sand.
The spotted Brown Sea Cucumber were considered as (Bohadschia similis). They are all considered to be (Bohadschia vitiensis) now.
The unspotted version of the Brown Sea Cucumber ejecting Cuvierian tubules. Cuvierian tubules are ejected by may Sea Cucumbers as a defense mechanism. The Cuvierian tubules are very sticky, and the Brown Sea Cucumber will eject them very easily. Often just dusting the sand off of them without even touching them will get them going.
