The Darkbanded Rockfish (Sebastes inermis) メバル has been split into three species. I think that this should now be called a White Rockfish (Sebastes cheni) シロメバル. The difference is the number of rays in the fins. I can’t count them in my pictures. It is still a Scorpionfish and a popular gamefish. I think that they probably all taste the same. This one with a Barred Knifejaw behind it was at Enoshima.
